About Carol Redman                                                      Mission Statement

Just wanted to share some wonderful news with you.  We have been in the black for two consecutive months.  And, best of all, we had a $70,000 donation come in last week.  Yeah!!!  We plan to pay off a bill to the landlord and put a good chunk into a one-year CD.  With a new minister in the wings, we are smoking.  This did not happen until after our workshop with you.

Thank you for your help...blessings,

Jane Bailey
Unity Christ Church
(Board Member with Strategic Planning and Major Gifts client)

"I attended Carol Redman's Major Gifts seminar.  She provides you with the essential basics on how to grow wealth for your agency.  Her strategies are a way to sustain your agency without relying on grants and fundraising events -- that essentially generate one-time funding.  The focus is on true sustainability.  If you are ready to shift the way you raise money, then I would definitely recommend attending this seminar.  Carol is very knowledgeable about major gifts and the information is invaluable.  Brilliant."

From one of the 50 largest foundations in Atlanta:

"I applaud you for your focus on strategic planning, board development and individual giving.....the three combined are fundamental to a nonprofit's success!  You are right that, all too often, one or more of those elements is missing...and that greatly reduces the chances that a nonprofit will be successful in approaching foundations for grant support.
Keep up the good work."

When Ray Kroc, the late owner of McDonald's, bought the San Diego Padres baseball team -- Carol was asked to leave her job in banking administration to manage the San Diego office of The Kroc Foundation.  Thus began her career with nonprofits.

She then woked with The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, California for seven years in international development.  After completing her Marketing Communications studies at the University of California-San Diego, Carol moved to San Francisco to become the Director of Systems Development and National Direct Mail Fundraising for the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund where she was responsible for nearly $5 million in annual revenue.

After returing to San Diego, for over seven years she worked as a growth strategist with many nonprofit causes including child welfare and advocacy, domestic violence, adolescent sexual deviance, drug abuse, environmental advocacy, hospice, eldercare services and animal welfare -- and most notably she worked with one of The Beach Boys for a year during the United Nations' proclaimed International Year of the Ocean, creating and securing the initial funding for The Beach Boys Urgent Action Fund to protect coastal environments.

In 1997 Carol was one of the first 150 people in the country to complete a graduate-level program through California State University-Long Beach to become a Certified Specialist in Planned Giving.  After completing this rigorous course she was instrumental in negotiating a $1 million Charitable Remainder Trust.  She was also key in securing a $200,000 gift of highly appreciated stock -- and secured the $100,000 self-imposed matching component for the stock gift for a total of $300,000.

After moving to Georgia, Carol was one of five senior directors with Georgia Community Support and Solutions -- the second largest provider of disabilities services in the state of Georgia and one of the 50 largest nonprofits in Atlanta (out of over 4,000).  During her time with GCSS, she was part of the leadership team that brought about the organization's annual revenue growing from $10 million to over $16 million in less than three years.

In additional to resource development -- Carol has a long-standing IS / IT / CRM track record of successes in implementing, customizing and maximizing cost effective  donor / prospect / advocacy / volunteer / client databases and integrated email marketing -- and assists organizations with cost effective "managed content" website solutions, website analytics and online giving.

Today -- with emphasis on Stragetic Planning, Board Development and Training, and Individual Giving -- she continues to work as a growth strategist with both large and small nonprofit organizations.  Carol also works with companies to help them design and implement meaningful, impactful results-oriented social responsibility programs -- which enable them to do the right thing...profitably.
