Boards that "Work"

Building an engaged, high-functioning Board of Directors is no longer a "want" -- it's an essential need.
Why? ...because increasingly major funders will specifically ask for details about your Board.
Board Development
...is an ongoing commitment
Carol works with the ED/CEO and Board members to:
- Ensure each organization consistently has 100% of its Board members financially supporting the organization at least annually
- Ensure that Board members understand their basic responsibilities -- which includes Strategic Planning
- Ensure that Board members understand that it is their collective responsibility to attract financial and other resources to further the mission of the organization
- Clarify the role of the Board Chairperson
- Build effective Committees
Client Testimonial:
Just wanted to share some wonderful news with you. We have been in the black for two consecutive months. And, best of all, we had a $70,000 donation come in last week. Yeah!!! We plan to pay off a bill to the landlord and put a good chunk into a one-year CD. With a new minister in the wings, we are smoking. This did not happen until after our workshop with you.
Thank you for your help...blessings,
Jane Bailey

Carol,
I applaud you for your focus on strategic planning, board development and individual giving.....the three combined are fundamental to a nonprofit's success! You are right that, all too often, one or more of those elements is missing...and that greatly reduces the chances that a nonprofit will be successful in approaching foundations for grant support.
Keep up the good work.
